DEMENTIA IN THE TITLE.

I've updated the blog so it carries the phrase DEMENTIA CARER in the title. And I've fixed the blog's banner graphic to take that into account.
   Why?
I'm a step nearer creating this fucking book about being a dementia carer. It is a sweary book, and no mistake. What seemed like a good idea at the time seems like a fucking great idea now.
   Except...
I killed it all off. And I replaced it with Evil Genius Idea No. 2. This is slightly cheaper than Chanel, Any Number, if you order in bulk.
A mad scientist is allowed to change minds. From one body to the next.
What's the story? The story is, I'm putting DEMENTIA in the title. People Google that. They find this signpost. That's why I tinkered with the blog.
And the book? What changed, there?
Everything. I wrote it in small doses, and realised it is designed to be read in small doses. A carer makes time to deal with other things...

If other carers are reading the book, they are never reading the book. A chapter, at most. Two, if they are lucky.
Here's the idea. I break the book into parts.
That means the story appears in a series on Amazon Kindle. With DEMENTIA in the title. Might as well put the word in the blog's title, if I'm doing a series.
And I am doing a series.
   As I type away, shit...

Emergency stop on the tumble dryer. No one died. Well, at least, not in the kitchen. I'll find three bodies out by the bins, later. That's okay. There are three bins, and the recycling guys are easy-going.
   Where the fuck were we?
Fuck knows. Okay. Recap. I'm doing a book on being a dementia carer. Lots of swearing. Best to handle that stuff in small doses. Plans. Today I set up basic info on the book series, inside the Amazon bookshelf.
That's not where the magic happens. It's where the rockets launch, though, once the magic formula is ready.
What does it mean, to have a series running? I'm not sure. Using Amazon to serialise a narrative on dementia care, I think I'd be creating a weekly TV show, but in print.
Does that make sense? A lot of this stuff goes on over in YouTube land, so why the fuck not try it in e-book world?
If I fuck it up spectacularly, readers are allowed a refund. Something you could never get before, after having shit books foisted on you in the local supermarket.
You still can't get those supermarket book refunds.
Also, I don't write shit books.

Stay tuned.

Let's try a mini-poll. Select those thunderous biscuits if you think a serialised book works better for a time-starved dementia carer. Join Alfredo and the zombies if you'd rather devour a whole e-book.
